The construction of the diamond cutting disc is tested in prototype tests. 
The bending capacity specified by the test authority must always be achieved.

During production all Bosch diamond cutting blades are subjected to 100% mechanical tests to detect weak segment joints.

During the centrifugal force test the segment/base blade bond must stand up to speeds several times faster than would normally be used.

The quality of the bond is tested at 150 m/s. The disc must reach a 3.5 times safety margin for flyaway parts.
